The summer is here and it is sweltering but that doesn’t mean you have to feel the squeeze on your wallet! Here are a couple of tips to keep your cool during the summer heat in your Fort Lee VA real estate:
- AC- have your AC tuned up and keep a modest 76-78 degrees so your equipment isn’t working so hard and change your filters once a month
- Windows and doors- Be sure your windows and doors are properly insulated, caulking around jams and sills is essential
- Lights out- when you are out and about, turn out the lights
- Gardening- drought tolerant plants add curb appeal and there’s little need to over water. You can check your local Lowes, Home Depot or favorite nursery for beautiful and thriving plants
